Care: Work with PLWHA in community settings; work with partner organisations on care and support
Prevention: Tsha Tsha Tsha - 26 part prime-time TV series focussing on young adults, currently in third series
Treatment: Work with PLWHA in community settings
Workplace: Research into Media Institution workplace interventions; Reviews of HIV/AIDS and economics; work with partner organisations in
Higher Education Institutions
Community: Participatory research interventions at community level; Civil society responses are reviewed through the Communicating AIDS Needs (CAN project) which includes a focus on social capital and HIV/AIDS
Orphans: Literature reviews and research activities on HIV/AIDS, children and young people.
Other: Reviews of other key HIV/AIDS focus areas; involvement in national and local HIV/AIDS behavioral and HIV prevalence surveys; monitoring and valuation; theoretical work in the area of representation and ideology in relation to HIV/AIDS
Directors of Cadre have worked in HIV/AIDS since late 1980s in South Africa and have worked as consultants and presented and shared research findings internationally. Policy-related information is provided to government, NGOs, CBOs, private-sector organisations, and funders/donors
